New Report: Games Market in Asia

These findings are contained in Pearl Research’s 50-page “Online Game Publishers in Asia” study, analyzing online game publishers and operators across Asia.

Please visit this link to download a preview of the report: http://www.pearlresearch.com/files/Pearl_OnlineAsia_TOC_0907.pdf

Pearl Research’s key findings:

- Ten online game publishers in Asia crossed the $100 million revenue mark in 2006. Pearl Research expects this to increase to 13 publishers by 2008, as the market for online games continues to expand across Asia.

- There are more than 400 million Internet users across Asia, representing an untapped market for content. Growth will be driven by emerging markets such as China, Vietnam and India. All three countries have a large youth population and have experienced a rapid rise in Internet and PC penetration, in addition to increasing urbanization.

About the Study: Pearl Research’s “Online Game Publishers in Asia” study contains market share, financial analysis, key metrics, product discussion, and strategic outlook for 17 prominent online publishers. Companies covered in the report include CJ Internet, NCsoft, Neowiz, Netease, NHN, Perfect World, Shanda, Soft-World, Tencent and The9.

Pearl Research has also compiled an exclusive Relationship Matrix tracking licensing deals, investment, and mergers and acquisitions across the region.
